An example of a relatively unknown flintlock pistol types, also known as hand-held volley guns. They were developed in 18th and 19th centuries and popular among bank guards, prison wardens and sea captains, jobs with high probability of close combat with multiple opponents. The purpose of this kind of gun was to incapacitate as many adversaries as possible at a short range and with a single pull of a trigger. I made the pistol shown above for the 3D-Coat Community Challenge #7: Insanely Powerful Handgun, using a photograph from Dave Cushman’s page as a reference.
